High-Efficiency Gas Furnaces

Efficiency

90-97.4 AFUE

This means that 90-97.4% of the fuel (propane or natural gas) is converted into energy for your home.  These models are best-in-class for efficiency and performance, offering the lowest operating cost/fuel use of any furnace on the market.   Two-stage models are also available, which offer increased electrical efficiency.

Safety

Multiple safety systems built into the unit protect against gas leaks, carbon monoxide poisoning, fire, and overheating.  These systems include:

-”Flame Roll-Out” Switches mounted on the burner assembly that cut power to the gas valve and purges the system of any remaining gas if unsafe conditions occur.

-A High-Temperature Limit Switch that monitors the temperature inside the unit and puts it into cool down mode if it gets too hot.

-A Flame-Sensor Rod that checks for proper ignition and turns off the gas supply if flame is not present after 3 seconds.  This ensures proper ignition and prevents the unit from filling with gas.

-A Pressure-Switch system that ensures proper ventilation and will turn off the unit if the exhaust becomes clogged.

Features

“Fan” function can be used to circulate air through the house without running the heat.  Can be combined with an air filter or electronic air cleaner to provide affordable year-round air filtration, removing allergens, dust, and other particles from the air you breathe.

Variable-speed ECM motors are available in many furnace models, especially with top-of-the-line models with 95%+ AFUE.  These motors can run at dozens or even hundreds of different speeds, allowing precise control of the equipment’s heat output.  Electronic air cleaners, air conditioning, heat pumps, and  humidifiers all work better when paired with a furnace using a variable-speed motor.  These motors also tend to use less electricity, lowering the overall operating cost of the furnace.

Compatible with virtually any thermostat, analog, digital, programmable, wi-fi enabled, etc.

Available in a two-, and three-stage models for increased electrical efficiency, lower noise output during operation, and incredibly fine-tuned comfort control.

Compatible with existing AC equipment, in fact, a new furnace often makes the existing Air Conditioning work better than before!  If you don’t have air conditioning but are thinking about it, you can save hundreds by adding AC as part of the furnace installation.  For more information on savings from combined installations, schedule a free appointment to go over your home or office’s heating, cooling, and comfort needs, options and pricing, and any questions you have.  Fill out the form on the right or call today: (360)-734-4455.
